Michigan Law School has a sizable and diverse faculty, with many preeminent in their fields, such as business and corporate law, international law, intellectual property, environmental law, tax law, constitutional law, and public interest. Michigan is a leader in the number of law professors who are also governing faculty members of a world-class department in another discipline. Our interdisciplinary approach is evidenced by our faculty expertise covering an extraordinary range of subjects, including classics, economics, feminist theory, history, life sciences, natural resources, philosophy, political theory, and public policy. In addition to our 79 full-time professors, William W. Cook Global Law Professors, professors from practice, and business and public interest/public service fellows, Michigan Law invites a select group of visitors, adjuncts, and lecturers to join the faculty annually - all of whom are passionate about helping their students learn the law both inside and outside the classroom.
